about

Hello and thank you for visiting our website!

Jon and I have been dreaming of Blue Sky Flower Farm for many years. We both have horticulture degrees and have worked in the industry for over 30 years combined. It really is our passion. While working full time, raising three children (and chickens), we started Blue Sky by growing woody cuts (dogwoods and willows) on a small scale in a pasture at Jon’s parent’s dairy farm. Fast forward a few years and now we are currently planting out our 10 acre farm we recently purchased nestled between Lakeville & Elko-New Market, Minnesota.

We truly enjoy the creativity and beauty in growing and have expanded into growing a wide array of annual and perennial cut flowers, hops, fruits, vegetables and herbs. We sell our blooms locally wholesale to local designers, regionally & nationally to retail garden centers, landscape design firms, public and private gardens and retail shops. We also have a local Flower Bouquet CSA and bouquets for purchase anytime via our “Contactless Porch Pick-ups.” This past season we have also added a “Pick Your Own (PYO)” workshop called Friday Night Flowers.

While our dream as turned into a lot of hard work and long hours farming, we are still so grateful and truly appreciate the small things in life. Thanks for following along on our flower farming journey.
